Earned Value Explained (EVA) - The 5 Minute Movie
Our most downloaded hints and tips PDF last year was on EVA. This month we’ve uploaded our ‘Introduction to Earned Value Analysis in a Microsoft Project’ screencast for you to watch.

Taken from Project Mentor, the movie:

  • Introduces you to EVA
  • Explains what the fields mean in real terms
  • Shows you how you can use them in a practical way to determine the health of your project

The movie contains an audio commentary, so don’t forget to turn your speakers on

Last Call for the Microsoft Project Usage Survey
We’ve had nearly 500 responses to this survey and but we’d really appreciate if you could give us your thoughts and opinions on how you use Microsoft Project

The survey is only 15 questions long and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. As well as providing an analysis of the survey’s findings, we will be opening up the anonymized data set to the Microsoft Project community so you can carry out your own analysis if you wish.

Mission to Haiti
A short while ago I became aware of a practical and selfless act by one of our customers from Chicago IL. Stephen Michaelson, a Project Mentor user since 2003, is looking to travel to Haiti and donate his time and effort to help out with disaster relief and recovery on behalf of the victims and survivors of the devastating earthquake. This project of Stephen’s deserves support, so I wanted to publicise his initiative.

To find out more, just go to http://www.firstgiving.com/stephenmichaelson

If you are able to help Stephen meet his project’s objectives, then thank you.
