PROJECT KNOWLEDGE - the project learning newsletter

Dear Project Manager,

Volume 7, number 6

Welcome to the sixth Project Learning newsletter of 2009.  It's a little later than usual as its editor has just overcome a very virulent head cold that demanded rest and recuperation.

In this month's newsletter we're taking the wraps off Project 2010.  Finally our non-disclosure period is over and we can share with you a preview of what's to come from the developers over in Redmond.

Tips and tricks has taken a month off, but watch out next month as we have some cool ideas to share with you.

Sincerely

Andy Jessop
CEO and Founder

Microsoft Project 2010 - Hot off the press

It's official.  Microsoft Project 2010 will be hitting the streets sometime in the first half of 2010.  With a radical new look and heaps of new functionality, Microsoft are claiming that the 2010 version will be the most significant version of Project in the past 10 years.  Having worked with the Technical Preview for the past couple of months, I would say that Project 2010 probably contains more innovations and should satisfy a wider potential market than almost all previous versions combined.

So, what have we got to look forward to?
Take a look at our latest blog post where we cover the four key improvements

1) Ribbon Bar / Fluent User Interface
2) New Task and Scheduling options
3) Improved Project Server and SharePoint integration
4) Managing Portfolio Wide Objectives

Plus, there are links to videos and press releases that will give you a good flavour of what's to come. Happy viewing...
