PROJECT KNOWLEDGE - the project learning newsletter

Dear Project Manager,

Volume 7, number 5

Welcome to the fifth Project Learning newsletter of 2009.  As promised in our last newsletter back in July, were now sending our newsletters out on a monthly basis.  I hope that you like this increased frequency and that you find the newsletter content interesting and thought-provoking.

In this month's newsletter we're taking you back to the future.  Some of the most downloaded tips and tricks documents are those within our newsletter archive.  See below to find some useful help and guidance.

Also, there's an update to the UNICEF "Global Parent" project that Project Learning is involved with.  Read below how this project is helping to improve lives in sub-Saharan Africa.

Sincerely

Tips and Tricks - Back to the future

Having reviewed our website statistics over the past few months, we've noticed that some of the tips and tricks we posted a few years ago are still proving to be very popular as downloads.  Convinced that we must be saying the right things to people, we're reminding you now about these valuable tips and tricks.

You'll find all of these within our newsletter archive.

Here are some of the most popular downloads:

All of these tips and tricks come from Project Mentor, the computer based training package for Microsoft Project.

A million reasons to have water - Project update

Back in our January 2009 newsletter, we explained about the UNICEF "Global Parent" initiative that we contribute to.  This initiative funds a project that aims to improve the day-to-day lives of thousands of people in Tanzania by providing ready access to that most precious commodity - water.

Due to the great response we've had from a Project Mentor user survey we conducted earlier this year, we've made even more contributions than planned to this very worthwhile cause.

As with all projects, especially ones in the developing world; things don't always go exactly to plan.  We're delighted to report however that the project funding is fully in place and benefits from this project are now being realised.

Find out more about this UNICEF project, and how lives are being transformed.
