Dear Project Manager,

Volume 7, number 1

Happy New Year.  Welcome to our first newsletter for 2009.

I hope you had a great time during the holidays and that 2009 brings all that you would wish for.

Regular newsletter subscribers will be aware that we make charitable donations instead of sending out business Christmas cards.  This year, find out how we've gone one step further

Our Project Knowledge blog is now fully up and running, providing general project-related information as well as our popular Ask the Expert section.

During 2009 we'll look to provide lots more valuable newsletter content, so do watch this space.  If you have any suggestions or comments, please do contact me using the email link below.

Sincerely

Andy Jessop

One small project that can make a big difference

A million reasons to have water

Over the past few years we've donated the money we would have spent on sending Christmas cards to our customers to worthwhile charitable causes.  This year we've taken a bigger step and become a "Global Parent".  By making a monthly ongoing donation, we're helping UNICEF transform the lives of village people in Tanzania by providing them with clean and readily-available water.  Whilst most of us take water for granted, for some this basic necessity involves back-breaking and often dangerous effort.  To find out more about our involvement with this project, just follow this link to our blog post:

A million reasons to have water

As more project updates become available, we'll add them as successive blog posts.

Ask the Expert - two new questions

In our last newsletter we introduced our new "Ask the Expert" service to provide practical help and guidance for people using Microsoft Project in the real world.  Our initial posting discussed ways to schedule project-wide resource overheads.

That first posting provoked a number of responses from Microsoft Project users with their feedback on our tips and suggestions.  We now have two new postings:

We hope that you find these postings useful.  Don't forget that if you have any questions that you'd like us to answer, just click on this link: Ask a Microsoft Project Expert a question
