Dear Project Manager,

Volume 6, number 4

Welcome to 2008's fourth newsletter.

In this month's newsletter you can expect another helpful tip - in particular, how to manipulate tables of data within Microsoft Project.

Also, with the 2008 Beijing Olympics now fully underway, I was reminded of an article written by Project Learning's Diane Gosling about the preparation for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.  To find out how a colossal project like the building of Olympic venues gets going, follow this link to read Diane's article.

I hope that you find this newsletter's other articles interesting  and useful.  Don't forget that if you have any suggestions for newsletter articles, do email me at the address below.

Sincerely

Andy Jessop

Technical Tips and Tricks - Viewing information within tables

Microsoft Project tips and tricks - Aug 2008 - Technical Tips and Tricks - Viewing information within tables

The last three tips and tricks concentrated on planning the tasks that make up a new project. This next series of interactive lessons focus on helping you ensure that you have as much relevant information about tasks, schedule and sequence as possible. You can choose from a complete interactive lesson or a quick audio/video walkthrough movie - simple.

Taken from our critically-acclaimed Project Mentor learning system, the first of these interactive lessons looks at how tabular information provides a wealth of useful information about what happens when.

Although you may have reviewed schedules before, you will find this lesson very useful. Many Microsoft Project users are bewildered by the amount of information fields at their disposal, often unaware that specific tables contain fields that relate to each other, both in the information they contain and also the relevance of that information. Just go to: Project Learning Tips & Tricks
